OUR HISTORY
Who We Are
The FSU Ice Hockey Club will compete in it's 13th season of action in 2010-11  
To be a member of this prestigious program, one must maintain a 2.0 grade
average while being a full time student at FSU.  Since the team is a club sport,
the university provides only minimal amount of money compared to a large
budget needed to operate a hockey team.

Team members must come up with the extra money necessary to travel to
Jacksonville , the team's home ice.  The other games are normally within a
five-hour drive of Tallahassee.  The team has recently traveled to Clemson
University,the University of Alabama, the University of South Carolina and LSU
for games.  There are normally multiple games played during a weekend, leaving
the players no choice but to rent hotel rooms for two nights.

The students run the program themselves, meaning that they pay out of their own
pockets for transportation, hotels and equipment.  There are typically between 18
and 20 regular season games, none of which are in Tallahassee.

The team attempts to raise additional funds through merchandise sales and
donations.  Two golf tournaments have been held in 2007 and 2008 raising over
$5000.

check to the address above and for a donation of $125 you will receive a
white polo shirt with the popular ice hockey logo on the left chest.  We can
even include your name if you desire.

You will be eligible for raffle prizes throughout the season as well as receive a
discount on future sponsorships such as golf tournaments and receptions.

included in any publication we make during the season.

Meet Justin Casserly, Sport Club Program Assistant

Justin is a junior Sport Management and Business Management
major from Alpharetta, GA. Justin joined the Sport Club staff in
January of 2009. Justin has been heavily involved in the Ice
Hockey Club at FSU for three years, serving as the club's
President for the 2008-09  and the 2009-10 school years.

Justin is also a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, and works
with the FSU Athletic Department. When not working on Sport
Club activities, Justin enjoys snowboarding and travel.

Justin's Favorite Food: Gordo's.

Justin's Clubs: Baseball, Ice Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, Women's
Lacrosse, Softball, Surf, Tennis, Wakeboard, Men's Volleyball,
and Women's Volleyball.
