History
History of Seminole Hockey
The start of the FSU Ice Hockey Club was in 1997. Since then it has been an organization that has been run by the students, the players on the team. Two of the “creators” were Carlos Landrian and Eric Campailla. The team began play at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center, near campus in Tallahassee.
They continued play there until the 2000-01 season, when the team was forced to hold their home games at Jacksonville Ice due to the loss of ice at the civic center. The following season the Seminoles again relocated, this time to the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando where they have played until 2008 when Jacksonville Ice became the home of Seminole Hockey.
